Elmer’s ProBond Advanced is a non-toxic and 100% weatherproof adhesive that can bond metal, concrete, stone, wood, ceramics, glass, and more just as well, if not better, than other polyurethane adhesives on the market, especially since it doesn’t foam on application. Its bond is incredibly strong and it dries clear, making it a great option for whether you want to paint over it or not. And not only that, if any messes are made while using it, it cleans up quickly and easily with water.

Elmer's ProBond Advanced: Weatherproof vs. Waterproof

Elmer’s ProBond Advanced is 100% weatherproof, but it is not waterproof and that is a distinction that is important to understand. It is not advised to use this adhesive to fix an aquarium or the part of a boat that goes in the water and other things of that nature. You can absolutely use it for things like fixing your outdoor basketball net or swing set as it can withstand moisture in the air and rainstorms, but it cannot be fully submerged in water for long periods of time for fear of weakening its bonds.

How to Best Apply Elmer's ProBond Advanced

Safety Practices and Elmer's ProBond Advanced

While Elmer’s ProBond Advanced is a non-toxic adhesive, but caution should still be taken while using. Make sure to store it somewhere dry and at room temperature. If the glue is heated the fumes can be harmful when inhaled and can cause difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, and coughing.

Elmer's ProBond Advanced is Not a Glue for Children

When people see the Elmer’s brand they may subconsciously associate it with children and crafting. It is a well-earned reputation, but it is not advised that children under 12 use Elmer’s ProBond Advanced. While it won’t bring any more physical harm to them than any other Elmer’s glue, Elmer’s ProBond Advanced is extremely strong and if young children play with it, it may cause much bigger and harder to clean messes than if they were to use a regular glue stick. It is not a matter of life and death at all, just some friendly advice.
Elmer’s ProBond Advanced is an excellent adhesive that can hold strong to a variety of materials in an easier and faster way than most other polyurethane glues. It is a great adhesive that makes a perfect staple in anyone’s toolkit.
Elmer’s ProBond Advanced should not be frozen as that can weaken its bonding power. If your garage is prone to freezing in the winter, then it is advised to keep Elmer’s ProBond Advanced in the house if possible.
It takes 2 to 3 hours for Elmer’s ProBond Advanced to set with a clamp. After that, it takes 24 hours for it to cure completely.
All you need to clean Elmer’s ProBond Advanced is a damp cloth, it will wipe right up and leave nothing behind! If it’s dry then it can be dissolved with acetone.
It can, but Elmer’s ProBond Advanced needs plenty of oxygen to dry so using it to bond rubber would take a much longer drying time and the bond won’t be as strong.
If properly stored then the shelf life of Elmer’s ProBond Advanced is approximately 2-3 years.
